"The grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls." - John Muir |
Apologies for missing last week’s post, but I was traveling to visit a friend in Virginia.
While I was there last week I had this thought process that started with a place called Godfrey’s and ended with me watching the video for The Lumineers song Ho Hey. This completely random thought process landed me on that fantastic song, that ended up showing me a beautifully made music video. This got me thinking about my five songs for this week. So…I give you five songs for you Friday that were picked based on my liking the music video (and because I liked the song of course).
Enjoy!
1. The Lumineers: Ho Hey
2. Coldplay: Paradise
3. John Mayer: Queen of California
4. OneRepublic: Good Life
5. The Dirty Guv’nahs: 3000 Miles (go buy their new CD next week, it’s AWESOME!)
One of my favorite things is stumbling upon new and amazing music. I am a habitual user of my iTunes Genius and I am constantly stalking amazing blogs and websites that always offer up good music. This week’s five songs come just from that. Without my interest in Back Down South, I would have never found The Love List, and without The Love List I never would have found five of my new favorite songs. Thanks!
1. Theophilu London: I Stand Alone (this is going to be on repeat for a while)
2. Milo Greenee: 1957
3. Bahamas: Lost In The Light
4. The Lumineers: Slow It Down
5. OutKast: Idlewild Blue
